The convictions that shape everything we teach and everything we do — written plainly, because faith should be understandable.
Statement of faith
What We Believe
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is eternal, and He exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit — one God, equal in power and nature.
Jesus
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sin. He died, was buried, rose again on the third day, and is alive today.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. He gives the Christian power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned through good works or religious effort — it is received by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and it is offered to everyone.
Humanity
Every person is made in the spiritual image of God and is deeply loved by Him. That relationship is broken by sin, and it is restored through Jesus.
The Bible
The Bible is God's word to us. It was inspired by God, and it is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living.
Eternity
People were created to exist forever. Heaven and hell are real, and eternity is determined by our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Eternal Security
Because salvation is God's gift and not our achievement, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.
